Scraper and Scrap: is there a difference?

Many people in my company (and online) seem to use the words “scrape” and “scrap” , as well as “scraping” and “scrapping” to refer to the collection of data from the website / websites to be used for various goals. I cannot say if there is any nuance between these two applications, or whether the use is completely interchangeable. I searched the Internet but did not find a clear answer.

Is "web breaking" the real thing? Does it have a distinct meaning from "web scraping"? Is it just a typo that prevailed as "for all intense purposes"?

"Scrap" fights or throws something, usually something that has reached the end of life. "Scraper" is the right term. If someone calls it "scrapping", they simply use, unfortunately, a common misspelling.

If you feel alert, you can fix it anywhere you find it if it doesn't break a lot of code.

These are two different words. One comes from "scrap" (noun: the remainder of something). The other comes from scratching (verb: chop, rake or scratch something, usually with a tool).
