Chrome - kiosk printing has a 1-2 minute lag / delay

I need a printout in Chrome working in

--kiosk

mode. Of course I use

 --kiosk-printing

to disable the print dialog. I should note that this option only emulates the automatic press of the "Print" button.

My Rongta RP80 80mm Thermal Receipt Printer is connected via USB to a laptop with Windows 10, Chrome 57.

The printing mechanism is simple, printing starts with javascript on the page.

When I do not use - printing of print options -kiosk immediately starts with the "Print" button, click in the chrome preview dialog box.

Itโ€™s very difficult for me to deal with -kiosk-printing: printing starts only after 1-2 minutes, as the chrome print dialog appears and disappears (as I noticed, the parameter only emulates the automatic pressing of the โ€œPrintโ€ button). This is not a problem with the printer, because after this delay a new document appears in the Windows print queue.

Why is there such a big lag with the -kiosk-printing option, how to minimize it?

I had the same issue when I updated chrome to version 57 recently. The only solution at the moment is to install an older version of chrome. http://www.geocities.jp/ecvcn/exam/chrome_installer.html

I had the same problem. Using Chrome Canary on a Windows 8.1 PC resolved this for me.

I had the same problem in April, just like the canary, users report that it is fixed in 58 (stable), just update chrome (in the help menu, about Google chrome): https: // bugs. chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=706180

So, the bug is fixed.

In the property of the Google Chrome browser:

 -kiosk --disable-print-preview

This will eliminate your pain.
