Visual Studio 2017 code color issue after upgrade

I worked comfortably with the dark VS theme. Today I upgraded my VS to v.15.2(26430.4) , but suddenly ran into a visual problem.

The code colors in dark mode are terrible. I hardly see them clearly.

Any way to fix this? Thanks

I found some workarounds

  • unchecking Enable rich client visual experience . And then restart VS.

  1. Another way is to select the Light color theme and go back to Dark again.

It happened to me (among others)

Restarting VS fixed it. (No parameters change, just exit and run again.)

UPDATE: this is a feedback site on the site and should be fixed by updating to 15.2 (26430.06) (published May 12).

I am a virgin. in the Visual Studio team. There are currently two official solutions:

  • Remove F # language support through the VS installer.
  • Ctrl + Q and find the "theme" and select "Environment → General", and then switch from one theme to another and press "OK", then repeat and go back.

NOTE. Workaround No. 2 is temporary. Installing a new extension or update will return the colors back to their current state.

Restarting VS did not work for me.

I fixed it like this: In VS, go to Tools -> Options -> Environment -> General -> Color theme . Switch to Light , click OK, and then return to Dark . After that, everything looked fine.
