Xcode 9 simulator removes frames

Does the new sim come with frames that make it look like a phone in the beta version of Xcode 9. Is there a way to remove these frames and make it look more like a sim in Xcode 8?

Yes, there is, and that was the first thing I deleted. To delete frames, follow these steps:

  • Click on the simulator
  • Go to the window (top menu)
  • Click "Show devices" (it should have a mark on it)

The simulator will now have the same appearance as in Xcode 8.
