I follow the instructions for creating the "hello world" extension for Visual Studio, as described here . I have a Yeoman generator installed, but it seems to be a buggy. Firstly, if I do not immediately select one of the initial parameters when creating a new extension, I cannot select the parameter. In addition, if I immediately select an option (i.e., before it stops working), I will be asked to specify a name for the extension. However, no matter how violently I knock on my keyboard, no characters seem to be registered by the generator application.
Has anyone else experienced these problems with a generator? I would really like to start experimenting with VS Code extensions, but if the generator doesn't work, I'm not sure where to start.
