What is the difference between the "memory" and "memory" fields in the Chrome Task Manager?

I am using Chrome 64 and noticed that there are two fields in the Chrome Task Manager called “memory”. See the picture below:

memory and memory

I can’t find an explanation of the difference between these fields in Chrome, there are no tooltips (at least not for macOS). The “memory footprint” field seems new because I don’t remember to see it until yesterday.

As Josh noted, it reports "Private Memory" as described in the agreed memory metrics
