If you need a quick, temporary size, you can press Ctrl + / - to increase and Ctrl 0 to reset.

Here is a fairly recent blog post on this subject.

Basically, redefine Default/User StyleSheets/Custom.css in a user directory with something like:

 /* Keep .platform-mac to make the rule more specific than the general one above. */ body.platform-mac.platform-mac-snowleopard .monospace, body.platform-mac.platform-mac-snowleopard .source-code { font-size: 11px !important; font-family: Menlo, monospace; } body.platform-windows .monospace, body.platform-windows .source-code { font-size: 12px !important; font-family: Consolas, Lucida Console, monospace; } body.platform-linux .monospace, body.platform-linux .source-code { font-size: 11px !important; font-family: dejavu sans mono, monospace; }

Windows 7, Google Chrome 19.0.1084.46 m

The method with changing "User StyleSheets / Custom.css" did not work for me, but Ctrl + "+" worked :-)

THIS WILL BE WRECKED - see @TinyJaguar answer. Now you can just use Command + if you selected something in the developer console.

If you want to increase the font size in the Javascript console, you will need some specific font sizes. This is a bit more complicated than just setting the font size for the source:

 .source-code { font-size: 16px !important; font-family: monospace; } .console-prompt { font-size: 16px !important; font-family: monospace; } .console-message-text { font-size: 16px !important; font-family: monospace; } .monospace { font-size: 16px !important; font-family: monospace; } #elements-content { font-size: 16px !important; }

If you are on a Mac, use a Japanese keyboard and want to temporarily zoom in on the console, short cuts:

Increase: ^

Reduce: -

Reset Scale: 0

Other applications use + for scaling, but since the plus sign is on the second level on Japanese keyboards, it is only available with a shift. So: +

Which is where it's weird because Chrome + apparently means "Zoom Content". If you are in the Javascript console and do + , the window's content area is enlarged. But zooming out - moves the focus back to the console and scales it out. Result: the content grows, the console is smaller. Aaarggghhh.

In the new version of Chrome, you can easily change the font size of the font in the Developer Tools.

  • Open Developer Tools
  • Click on any line in the source code Clicking random line on source code
  • Press Ctrl + + to increase the font size or Ctrl + - to decrease the font size Pressing required key combinations to increase or decrease font size

I created a small plugin that provides collection editor settings for the Chrome developer tools , including the ability to gradually control font size .

  • Install the DevTools Author Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store.
  • Enable experimenting with developer tools in chrome: // flags / # enable-devtools-experiment. Restart Chrome for flags to take effect.
  • Open DevTools (cmd + opt + I); Settings> Experiments> check the box Allow custom user interface themes.

This will add the Author Settings panel to the Chrome Developer Tools, where you can gradually change the font size, from 10px to 22px

If you are like me, CMD ++ does not work for you because it switches you to the first tab (even if you disabled Enable ⌘ + 1-9 shortcut to switch panels ).

So, in this case, open Dev Tools, Undock into separate window , and then go to View --> Zoom in on the Chrome menu bar. Voila!

As soon as you return Dev Tools back to the browser window, View --> Zoom in will actually increase the font size in the browser window, but while the Dev Tools are undocked, it is aimed at the loose Dev Tools.

I know this is deprecated, but the simple solution I found is to increase min. font size min. font size in the settings and this will take care of the font size in the chrome debugger.
