Automatic network discovery using SNMP and .NET

Are there any libraries (third-party is good) that can help make automatic network discovery using SNMP and .NET?

If not, have you ever ridden?

I recently met the Sharp SNMP Suite , which I think does what you ask for. I say “think” because I have not used it myself yet! I just started looking into SNMP for the first time for an upcoming project.

as the author of #SNMP, I can confirm that it supports the basic auto-detection feature. Just call the dispatcher manager. For reference, there is also a topic of discussion.

• HP OpenView provides network discovery using SNMP. Maybe it's worth seeing how they do it.
• Another suggestion is to develop your gateway and connect routers via SNMP.

This is a slightly old topic, but it may still be useful for someone. I use to work with SNMP from Oidview, they also have a trial version.
