How to set up home OS X terminal home?

For some reason, after installing Boot Camp, my os x terminal started pointing to the Boot Camp disk instead of my default os x home directory! Once in the terminal, I know how to switch back and can do it, but I was wondering how to return my terminal to my os x home folder?

I checked my home directory under "System Preferences" → "Accounts" - "Control" on my account, and it points to the right place. I also tried to unmount it with no luck.

You probably need these instructions to use the command line:

Basically, use the dscl command-line tool to find out if the system considers your home directory to be installed, or try and reset it ....

It's a little under the hood, but you can just type

cd <directory> in /Users/<yourUserName>/.profile

and launch a new terminal. Then you should be in the right directory.
