Great Eclipse setup for PHP development

I use Eclipse PDT, Subclipse, viPlugin and JSEclipse for my PHP and JavaScript development. It gives me a good environment, but I wonder what else could be even better there.

What plugins have you installed in Eclipse to create an excellent development setting using PHP and JavaScript? What features do you find most useful? What is not so good and what to fix them?

Does anyone use something more stable and / or completely different from Eclipse + PDT or Netbeans? How is the Komodo model ID compared?

No, I use Netbeans for PHP, which is very promising. You should try this;)

HI, I use phpeclipse, which has some nice features.

But the main thing I'm playing with now is the aptana plugin, which works with most versions and aromas of eclipse. This allows you to create rich Internet applications and aim for the ajax revolution!

Here you can get a good idea on how to connect it http://www.aptana.com/docs/index.php/Plugging_Aptana_into_an_existing_Eclipse_configuration

After installation, I also plugged in the adobe air sdk plugin and created the fast adobe air application in about 1 hour. www.sitepoint.com has some good articles about building air applications.

And if your surprise when php comes to life, all this is due to the fact that I use php for most of the things that I do.

AnyEdit for mass text formatting (changing contours, tabs to spaces, etc.) and Subclipse for SVN integration.

dbviewer for database management and querying. I also like mylyn and tasktop to work with bugzilla / trac for project management.

For ganymede

  • Dltk javascript
  • Subversive is much better than subclipse I think
  • wtp - for css / xml
  • rse - ftp

My only concern is that pdt no longer has F3 functions in which it will open a file containing the ad you want to find.

For europe

  • wickedshell - command line

Aptana (for Javascript development) exists as a plugin and as an IDE. I am using an IDE, with the aptana plugin for PHP.

Or I use PDT-All-in-one: there are plugins for HTML and CSS.

I am using Eclipse PDT + SubEclipse + Aptana for Eclipse. Aptana JS editor is pretty nice.

Check out nWire for PHP : This is a new PDT add-on that allows you to visualize, navigate, and search in real time.

Aptana Studio recently declined a payment offer and is now fully open. It has additional support for subversion, CVS, Git, and several javascript libraries (jquery, ext, prototype, etc.), as well as PHP, python, and Rails.

It is worth noting that if you tried Aptana in the past and did not like their own php editor, they now abandoned it in favor of PDT.

I used Aptana for a while to develop a large project, and I haven't found anything yet.
