Error: MSCOMCT2.OCX or one of its dependencies is not

Question

I am trying to run a VB application that has long been encoded in Windows 2000. My current OS is Windows XP SP2.

Error message: "Component" MSCOMCT2.OCX "or one of its dependencies is not correctly registered: the file is missing or invalid"

I searched my computer for this file (this is different from MSCOMCT *** L ***. OCX) and did not find it. Can someone tell me how to get through this error?

I think you need runtime files for Visual Basic ( available here ).
