Is there a GhostDoc as a plugin for CodeRush or ReSharper?

I noticed that GhostDoc has not been updated for a long time. So I'm curious if there is a plugin for Resharper or CodeRush that will do the same thing? Or even if this type of functionality is built into one of the tools, which will also be great.

The latest version of GhostDoc specifically works with VS 2008. I'm not sure if you mean that it has not been updated for a long time. As far as I know, GhostDoc is the best XML commenter in the code. It is customizable, has excellent language and grammar support. And it just works.

Is there anything specific that he does not do for you?

You can try my free AtomineerUtils add-on. It is very similar to GhostDoc, but I believe that it is more powerful and flexible (for example, among many advantages: it supports VB, C # C ++ / CLI, C ++, C, like Doxygen and DocXml comment formats, as well comment comments and comment comments, is fully customizable and adds entries for things like exceptions created in a method). I am still actively developing it.

Details and download atomineerutils.com .

If you have ReSharper, you can always give StyleCop for ReSharper a try - it has some GhostDoc documentation features, as well as many other QuickFixes and formatting options based on the StyleCop ruleset.

GhostDoc works fine, so I think there is no need to update (unless new features are added). In addition, this does not contradict Resharper (for me, at least).

Edit: Since everyone seems to be happy to use GhostDoc (based on my Google search), I doubt anyone will invent the wheel if it does not suffer from the syndrome not invented here.

EDIT Well, a new version has been released: SubMain acquires GhostDoc, releases a new version, integrates it with CodeIt.Right

Like many people, I could not live without the GhostDoc plugin.

Besides the fact that GhostDoc does not provide a reasonable "summary" for my method, I know that I have poorly named this method. For me it is very valuable!

From the new GhostDoc site:

SubMain recently acquired GhostDoc . We will continue to support and distribute the product for free. We will improve GhostDoc and we always welcome community feedback. If you have any ideas, please post them in the GhostDoc forum . Roland Weigelt is the author of the original GhostDoc and his website can be found at http://roland-weigelt.de/

It is still free, but with the new benefit of support from a reputable commercial development company.
