Limitations Using Java Hotswap

Question

The java hotswap function saves a lot of time for me. However, it has many limitations (for example, changing a scheme is not supported). Any idea if the restriction will be considered earlier? According to this forum page , this seems to be ignored.

I know that products like JRebel help. But does anyone know of any open source tools for this?

JavaRebel is a good tool, but you need to buy it.
