How to create a LIVE CD for an application

There are Live CDs that load the OS and allow you to use them without installation.

I was wondering if there is an easy way to set up a Live CD so that it only downloads what it takes to run one application and it launches this application.

With Ubuntu, I used the Ubuntu preferences set to configure the Ubuntu Live CD, which downloaded everything I needed by default on my computer.

For some values, the “easy way” is yes, but in most cases not.

If the required OS is Windows, you will find a lot of information if you check BartPE . You will have problems with licensing if you do not understand that you cannot distribute Windows, even on livecd, without MS licenses for each copy.

Linux livecds are a little harder to create, but there are many people making the process easier, http://www.linux-live.org/ is a great resource to start with.

It depends on what you mean by "easy way." If it is more convenient for you to install and administer the OS in order to be safe and stable, you should not have much trouble creating a LiveCD for this OS using software that needs to be installed and automatically launched. Most of the details depend on the OS and the type of application you are trying to run.
