Can you use AnkhSVN and VisualSVN at the same time?

I would like to try the AnkhSVN function (namely, integration with the Red SQL Tool) without completely uninstalling VisualSVN. He feels quirky, so I wanted to see if anyone else had experience that would alleviate or confirm my fears.

Update
So I tried uninstalling VisualSVN and uninstalling in Ankh. As for working in VSS itself, this change was completely transparent. Unfortunately, SQLChangeset did not work with this plugin, so part of it was in vain.

Disconnecting back was also painless, even if you didn't have to re-enter my license. So, good knowledge, but not joy for a long-term goal.

Grade. At the same time, I was able to install VisualSVN and AnkhSVN on Visual Studio. However, you cannot use both at the same time. VisualSVN is an add-on, while AnkhSVN is really a version control plugin. To use one or the other, you just need to disable the source binding binding (for AnkhSVN) or disable the plugin (for VisualSVN).

In my experience, I found that VisualSVN was a much better client than AnkhSVN. VisualSVN handles ignoring user files (* .suo) and very efficiently adds projects to Subversion. AnkhSVN, on the other hand, caused me some difficulties.

Hope this helps!

I have not tried, but I know that Visual Studio supports several version control plugins. You simply select which of the active options you choose by choosing Tools->Options from the menu, and then find the Source Control->Plug-in Selection page in the control tree on the left side of the window that opens.

You just need to install Ankh and select it there for your tests, and then return to VisualSVN when you're done. Of course, this suggests that everything plays well together.

You may be able to disable / disable VisualSvn from the menu Tools → Add Manager, and then select AnkhSvn as the current SCC provider.

Can you describe how this toolkit tool works and how it should integrate with AnkhSvn?
