Programmatically show keyboard in iPhone app

Question

I have a view with only one UITextView that is used to input a value. I want that when the view is showing, the text view becomes the first responder (this is the easy part) and also the keyboard is detected by default. I tried to find this in Speca, but to no avail. There are many reports on how to close the keyboard, but I want to show the keyboard without waiting until the user touches my text review.

Just set the text box to firstResponder to do the trick.

Inside -viewDidLoad :
