IE 6/7 on Windows XP and Windows Vista

Have you noticed significant differences in website rendering in IE 6 or IE 7 when working on Windows XP and when working on Windows Vista?

The rendering is the same as I noticed while you are comparing apples to apples (which means: IE7 looks the same on both, but IE6 may not look like IE7). Vista may take some extra security measures, but I don't know any features. And there is nothing like IE6 on Vista.

Browser mechanisms should display the same, but it is unlikely that there is an instance of IE6 in the Vista window that does not start through a virtual machine or VirtualPC.

We recently tested IE7 for XP and Vista. To my memory, there are no noticeable differences for IE7 on XP vs Vista. We did not try to install IE6 on a Vista machine.

However, there are differences between IE6 and IE7 on XP. I will not go into details, as I am sure that you can easily find hundreds of threads by doing a quick good search. Our biggest problems were related to some JavaScript issues when integrating with ASP.Net web applications.
