PDF to TIFF free library on Windows?

I have a 100-page long high-quality PDF (66 MB) that needs to be converted to TIFF format (300 dpi, highest quality possible: P).

I tried Imagemagick / ghostscript, jpedal, Poppler, XPDF, but they all produce different results due to the strange gradient of the PDF file itself (blaming the designers), and some actually take forever ....

Does anyone know of any alternatives I can try?

Thanks in advance, M.

GIMP does a great job reading PDF files. Here is the windows installer .

GIMP will load each PDF page into its own layer, so you will have to export each of them in TIFF format. Fortunately, this can be automated . I have no experience with a related script, but if it does not suit your needs, it should not be difficult to modify or write your own script to export each layer as a TIFF image.

Try using Adobe Reader to smooth your PDF file in PostScript (newer versions do this from the command line, but since this is only one file, you can print it in a PS file) before going through Ghostscript. This may fix some strange problems with the PDF.
