Iphone ebook basics

I have a book that I would like to publish as an application for iphone. Does anyone know of a free (or cheap) structure that I can use to achieve this? In other words, I want to create a standalone XCODE project for my book, which includes all the code necessary for the iphone user to read the book as a standalone application.

I saw how O'Reilly used something, but it does not seem to be available or sold freely. Any help or guidance that can be provided will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks to everyone.

Drew McCormack has published a guide to MacResearch on how he created his science script using the Python ebook application . This may be the starting point for you.

However, I would recommend taking a look at self-publishing through the Amazon Kindle Store . It looks remarkably simple (using simple HTML), and you can sell the book on any of the Amazon Kindle devices, as well as the Kindle app for iPhone. These Kindle books seem to sell surprisingly well .

I am in the middle of trying to answer the same question for myself. In addition to Baker and Laker , I've also found Treesaver.js , and I'm considering using this with PhoneGap .
