Netbeans Go To File Search Dialog Very Slow

Netbeans' Go to File "function (access with a shift of + alt + o) is extremely slow compared to the same function in Eclipse, which is fast enough to perform type matching. It seems that Netbeans every time searches for my project every time I am returning to this dialogue. I upgraded to the latest Netbeans and this is still happening.

Am I doing something wrong or is missing somewhere? Is there a way to speed it up or do it instantly, like the Go To File function in Eclipse?

From Peter Blahi,

we know about the "go to file" view. Therefore, we are considering this improvement in our development plan for NetBeans 7.0, see the Performance section.
