Ruby1.9 and Amazon SQS?

Is there a good library / gem to access Amazon ASA from ruby1.9? Amazon's Ruby example and right_aws do not work with ruby1.9.

I would prefer something that, as you know, works at a fairly large load (several hundred thousand items in line or more per day).

The official right_aws gem (> = 2.0) seems to work with Ruby 1.9.2

UPDATE: Amazon recently released an official gem with SQS support: http://aws.amazon.com/sdkforruby/

Try the Appoxy AWS library, it was forked from right_aws some time ago only for Ruby 1.9 and has appeared since then, supporting now much more than right_aws.

Comments from isitruby19.com point to the right_aws gem patch and fork that provide support for Ruby 1.9.

Take a look at the Sqskiq page to find out how easy it is to process messages in the background. This gemstone uses celluloid actors (e.g. sidekiq) and has features to avoid / minimize sqs costs.

This FanSQS gem supports SQS. I have not tested it with Ruby 1.9, but it looks very promising.
