I just stumbled across this fascinating article on the BBC website about creating real-time music using a programming language - the so-called "Live Coding" "

It seems I can’t find a lot of information on how to get started with this material, has anyone here heard about Live Coding?

Where do you get tools / IDEs to start doing this?

The Toplap website has links to people, audio, concerts, instruments, and demos. There are several introductory exercises that contain some pointers. Chuck is an example of one of the programming languages ​​used for this type of coding. Supercollider is an integrated programming and sound language that looks pretty good.
