All countries Countries Cities and Zip codes in the application

Is there a way to get all countries, states, cities zipcodes / in one separate database.

I look everywhere.

I discovered geonames.org , and I assume all the content. But there is no way to get this data directly.

I use rails. If you have helpers or plugins, it would be great. It would be great if there was a complete resource in any collapsible format that I can use to create this database.

Please recommend if you are grateful

I have a list of codes for Asian countries, but no states for some countries.

Thanks in advance

Thanks guys,

I received all countries and the states of all of them, but no postal codes.

http://27.org/isocountrylist/iso_country_list.sql

This contains all countries, and there are codes-3166 (the Siberian code must be changed from "CS" to "RS")

And here is the FIPS file for countries with states

http://www.maxmind.com/app/fips_include

To check the zip code I use

http://www.geonames.org webservices

There is also a geonames ruby pearl, making it really easy to check for zipcode

Hope this helps anyone who needs this information, keep it handy for web projects.

The Carmen plugin is almost certainly what you are looking for.

It will require a little effort and data processing, but it is not so bad.

Countries and country codes are easy to find. It looks like you already have them.

Not all countries are divided into states. You may just have to refer to them one at a time - there may be some kind of general link, but not what I know.

US cities are available and look for things like FIPS codes . There are commercial data providers who provide you with clean, well-organized data, but they charge you for it.

The post office has several databases with all zip codes. Please note that these charges are intermittent, and one zip code does not imply a single (far from it!). It may not be necessary to have a database of all of them, as there are zip verification / correction services available for free.

To download data, check out recent railscast on this.

For those who use the FIPS 10-4 / FIPS 5-2 standard, I support the NGA GEC (formerly FIPS 10-4 / 5-2) Excel spreadsheet (source format) for the administrative units of the 1st level countries. The spreadsheet is currently being updated to update 15 (March 2014): http://www.opengeocode.org/archive.php
