How to add folders to Source Safe?

I have a static website of html and css files. There are folders on my computers. I see the โ€œadd filesโ€ option in Source Safe 8, but it only copies files from the root folder.

How can I get Source Safe to copy the entire structure of the folder tree and their files?

To copy the entire directory tree, create a root folder ("Create Project") in a safe visual source. Then, from Windows Explorer, select all the files and folders that you want to add to this new project (folder).

He must request a comment. Enter a note and press ok . This should add all files and folders.

If you only need to add the folder, drag the folder into it root in VSS. It will create a folder in VSS.

I think VSS always calls the projects folder.

Yes, drag the folder, check the recursive block at the bottom, where you add your comment for the initial registration. Copy all subfolders and files.

I completely agree with the proposal to use the best option, however, if Source Safe is what you use, I find it in the "Create Project" menu to manually create folders.

It has been a bit since I used Source Safe, but IIRC, you just have to drag the directory into the Source Safe project and add the whole tree.

just drag the folder from explorer to the folder in sourcesafe.
