Why do links on my transparent div become invisible in IE?

Links on my website: http://rnmtest.co.uk/oddfellows/

If you click "Dine", you will see the "Book Now" button. This item is not available for IE. The area below it has a translucent png as a background. Content is uploaded via jQuery.

I anchored inside the div container, as recommended by other websites, but this did not affect. If I resize the window in IE8, I can someday click a small part of the button.

This effect occurs on all anchors, and not just on images.

I needed to make a link position: relative; explicitly.

This is a well-known limitation of IE6 - links in the container that use filters to create transparent backgrounds are not interactive. You can find additional information and a workaround here.

Once you loaded the content from jquery, did you catch the click event? Did you make sure jquery finished loading the content before trying to hook this event? It is very easy to do.
