Scala 2.8 and lift status

What is the Lift status working with Scala 2.8?

I find fragments of conversations about this on the Internet. I am trying to configure pom.xml, but I am getting errors from the Elevator side.

The main Lift trunk (including all binaries available from scala -tools.org) will not work on Scala 2.8 due to breaking changes.

However ... There are two branches: 280_dev and 280_port are available on github (at http://github.com/dpp/liftweb ), if you are ready to compile it yourself.

Because projects cannot even be guaranteed binary compatibility between successful nightly builds of Scala 2.8. You will be advised to wait at least until the beta version 2.8 is released, as I believe that the elevator will also issue the corresponding binary at this time.

UPDATE

Climb 2.1 supports Scala 2.8.

I believe that David Pollack has risen to work with the current 2.8 alpha release. A few days ago it was posted to o ne from scala forums (available on nabble). scala 2.8 is still on the move, so this is not a finished project ...

This post , for example, is a month and contains:

I have compilation under scala 2.8. Well, not all elevators, but enough elevators to run the example program

To save the current Scala values, you need to switch to the beta version of the next week (end of January 2010), as for Liftweb 2.0-M1.
