GAC'ing 4.0 builds

I built a dll with VS2010 oriented to framework 4.0. When I try to build (either drag the node into the GAC folder, or using the gacutil command line), it gives me no error. It states that the assembly was successfully added to the cache. But I can not see the assembly in the GAC folder. Would it appear in the GAC? Have they changed the structure of the GAC with VS2010?

The assembly is correctly signed.

The list of GAC assemblies (.Net 4.0) can be found at the following path: C: \ WINDOWS \ Microsoft.NET \ assembly \ GAC_MSIL

The GAC Explorer Plugin shows only .NET 3.5 builds. You can check the list of 4.0 GAC assemblies with gacutil.
