GNU screen: changing global key binding

I recently started using the screen in remote sessions. One problem is that emacs does not recognize its Ca, and I do not want to associate emacs Ca with anything else, as I am very used to it.

Google shows how to individually change each keyword using ~ / .screenrc, but not how to change global key bindings. I want all Ca to change to something else. Is it possible? What are my options?

thank you for your responses

You can change the escape combination with escape in .screenrc :

 # Makes Control+b become the escape combination escape ^Bb

You can also use Ctrl + a a to pass Ctrl + a child process. You get used to it after a while.
