What are all the indicators by which you can determine whether the project is going in the wrong direction

It is well known that most of the project is lost between development for many reasons, some of which can be fixed, and some of them can not be solved. Can you share the various indicators that point to this, and feel free to share your experiences that may help.

Thanks in advance.

One of the indicators is when a lot of problems arise at team meetings that contradict the SRS. Another indicator is that TL and PM begin to explain the same requirement in different ways ... which clearly shows that the requirement was either not correctly understood or incorrectly interpreted.

One of the telltale signs that a project is moving in the wrong direction is when the project no longer becomes a project. Project Definition:

  • The project has a clearly defined goal.
  • The project has a specific start and end time.
  • There is a client in the project

If any of them is missing or if they are changing and are no longer a project, everything goes in the wrong direction. This happened to me when I was the only project developer. No one noticed that we lost our clear purpose when one of our assumptions turned out to be wrong. My work has gone from development to maintenance. It was a nightmare.
