Stored procedure executing another stored procedure

When a stored procedure has a request inside to execute another stored procedure, does the stored procedure execution terminate the completion of another stored procedure? I guess I'm trying to get right in my head whether synchronous and asynchronous calls like this.

Yes, they are synchronous. They should have been. If stored procedure A expects results from stored procedure B, then it will have to wait until the completion of stored procedure B. The consequences would be huge if they were automatically asynchronous.
