Java / Java EE Interview Terms of Reference

What topics / questions can be asked during the interview round for the Java / Java EE sr.developer position.

[EDIT] During the management round, I mean a discussion with someone who plays the role of a project manager / technical manager. This round usually passes after you finish your tests and discussions with the sr.developer / tech manual.

Most likely, they will look for interpersonal skills and general personal qualities. Such things as:

  • Are you with ease or hard work to interact, and therefore, how will you fit into the rest of the team?
  • Are you finishing what you are starting, or are you easily distracted?
  • Are you enthusiastic and motivated, or is it just that for a stable salary?
  • Can you communicate clearly and articulate, or do you grunt and nod?
  • Are you organized or scattered about your approach? Do you plan ahead or respond to problems as they arise?

This interview is a chance not only to answer their questions, but to look at the above areas and push them proactively. Therefore, if they ask questions like β€œtell me about your previous role,” try saying things like β€œIt really suits my organized approach to work,” I was able to contact Jim with the project manager to identify all the main priorities and tasks and etc. "

Do it subtly and you will succeed. Not subtle answers will look as if you are trying to reproduce them - a very bad mood.

Be natural, friendly, enthusiastic and, above all, honest (this shows when we do not believe!), And good luck.

I have even seen that senior management can be quite technological in nature. They can give you a word for writing, and you can be rejected if you cannot solve it. They can dispense with the smallest flaw you can make. So take it as seriously as you took the other rounds.
