User crypto obfuscator for several months - I find him pretty easy to use, and their email support service is very useful. The output is uninterpretable on ordinary tools like ILDASM, Reflector ILSPY or JustDecompile (but I'm not a hacker).
However, one day my Avast antivirus killed the obfuscator output (in the bud). He complained to Avast as a false positive, and he left with later updates. Suspect the Control Flow Obfuscation option, but you cannot be sure.
My software has an automatic update and creates an updated exe that can be blocked by AV. Thus, your customers may not receive updates, and new customers may not install, while the manufacturer of AV checks your claims.
It appears that if your software is code-signed, you will not receive such warnings: see this http://wyday.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=21786
Hope this helps readers today.
