How to fix Xcode 5 SpringBoard permanently, the application failed to start with the error: -3

Launching applications from Xcode 5 to an iOS simulator (several OS versions) ends with SpringBoard failed to launch application with error: -3 . I can get around this problem by turning it off and on again (leaving the simulator and rebooting, uninstalling and relocating the application, etc.), but it seems to be coming back later in other projects.

Can someone help me understand what the real problem is, and if there is a permanent fix?

I don’t know why, but in the end the application from the simulator solved this.

Exiting the simulator seems to help.

Restart the simulator if it does not solve your problem and then remove all content. It worked for me.

Run Activity Monitor and force Kill the simulator process. Then run the application again and the simulator will start automatically and the problem will disappear.

I think this may be due to the fact that you installed (started) it on a 64-bit iOS7 simulator, and now you are trying to use the same installation / files on a 32-bit simulation.

1) Click the stop button from Xcode

2) Output simulator

3) Press the start button from Xcode again

This is the fastest workaround I tried, it was not necessary to remove the application or do something like that.

I noticed that I started this error when manually editing the files located on the emulator disk.

With "emulator disk space," I mean a path like this: ~ / Library / Application Support / iPhone Simulator / 7.0 / Applications //. App /

Restarting the build process also resolved my problems, so I feel that it has something to do with file permissions or an incorrect checksum error.
