Ant build classpath jar generates "error opening zip file"

Question

I have a project built in eclipse with dependencies on third-party banks. I am trying to create a suitable build file for ant - using the built-in eclipse function export → ant buildfile as the starting block.

When I run the build target, I get the following error:

[javac] error: error reading /base/repo/FabTrace/lib/apache/geronimo/specs/geronimo-j2ee-management_1.0_spec/1.0/geronimo-j2ee-management_1.0_spec-1.0.jar; error in opening zip file 

And the whole assembly file (automatically generated by eclipse) looks like this: (NB: the error above always refers to the first jar indicated in the class path)

(I know there is something like an eclipse here, but I get the same results with or without it.)

I did an old google search and traded without success.

I can confirm that all banks really exist. I also tried from the command line and as sudo - again, the same results.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Following Martin Clayton's suggestions, my previous comment is copied below as an answer.

"Sigh. I thought that since I removed the first banks that initially caused this problem (I was not even sure that I really need them anymore), and the problem just moved to the next bank ... well, it made me suspicious of a system error. It turns out that I actually have a bunch of garbage on the way to the classes. It must have at some point needed to load or something like that. In any case, everything is fixed now. Cheers "

Is there <filterset/> in any of the copy statements in the assembly file? I ran into a problem when I was <copy> -ing " **/* " and by the end of development I figured out how to use <filterset/> with <copy> .

In short, replacing the text worked flawlessly, but any binary, executable, or .jar that was in the **/* path was completely destroyed. Instead of opening files in binary mode, they open in text mode and then save in text mode.

If you have <filterset/> or something similar in your build file, make sure that <exclude/> all and all binary files.
