More than one folder / project in one window Sublime Text 3

I can have only one project / path open at the same time, in one Sublime Text 3 window.

Each time I quickly switch a project ( Ctrl+Alt+P ), a new project replaces the current one. Each time I open a new folder ( File > Open Folder... ) or a project ( Project > Open Project... ), it opens in a new Sublime Text window.

Can I open more than one project in one Sublime Text 3 window? If so, how to do it?

If if you have several projects in one window, you mean the presence of several directories located in different places of your system immediately in the sidebar tree, then yes, you can do it.

  • Open one of the projects in Sublime Text, as always.

  • Perform one of the following actions:

    • Drag the root directory of the second project from the file explorer onto the sidebar of the first ST project window.

    • In your terminal cd into the second project and enter subl . -a subl . -a .

-a flag means add to the last focused window instead of opening in a new window).

EDIT

Even easier.

Open the first project. Go to (in the menu above)

ProjectAdd folder to project

Open sublime text 3, inner menu bar

  • Go to the "Project"
  • "Add folder to project ..."

You can do this by saving your settings as projects, then in the project of the click-through project and all the tabs saved in the workspace will be displayed

If you are using a Mac just drag-&-drop folder / alias of your project into the Sublime Text application on the dock.

Then you should see that the projected Sublime Text loaded into your text is ready to go.

On MacOS, you can use "Project-> Add Folder to Project".

Or, in a more general sense, setting "open_files_in_new_window": false (true by default), the folder that you dragged into elevated text will be displayed in the same window.

Another thing you can do is create TABS for each project.

Window >> New Tab

By doing this, you will get project tabs above the project file tabs ...
