WebStorm: search not working

Question

I know what is used for search: Ctrl + Shift + F or Edit | Find | Find on the way and it worked before, but now it always returns an empty set, although I know what I'm looking for - is in the project

Perhaps someone had this problem?

As Lena said, the following should fix this for you:

• Click File → Invalid Cache / Reboot.
• Click "Invalidate and Restart"
• After restarting, try searching again

For me, the proposed nbaosullivan solution did not work.

In my case, the Recursive option (Alt + Y) was not selected. I selected it, and it worked, and it will be installed by default, you will not need to select it all the time.
