Cloud Computing in .net 4.0

Since the launch of .net 4.0, the word buzz has been cloud computing. But very little is said and discussed about this in the future .net technologies. Also, is it really worth investing in or do we have enough modern technology that can handle what cloud computing offers?

Could you describe this, and an example would be very useful?

Thanks in advance.

Cloud computing is another name for what many of us have been doing for a long time. Distributed computing and service-oriented architecture. Tools are already in your IDE and within your framework. Use them with care and, if necessary. Know the keywords, but don't give them too much attention.

The main thing that has been added in the current discussions on cloud computing is the emphasis on the ability to quickly scale and pay for what you use. But again, from a technological point of view, it has been available to us for a long time.

If you're interested in an MS cloud solution, you can check out Windows Azure , SQL Azure, and AppFabric . For general cloud computing information, check out Wikipedia .

But basically, according to Daniel, the technology is almost the same. Even the platforms are almost identical ... for example, IIS 7 / WAS / Biztalk Server / Windows Server / MS SQL Server, of course, with minor changes and not even for everyone.

Microsoft is not the only provider of cloud services:

Amazon alone with EC2 http://aws.amazon.com/

Amazon has .net bindings http://developer.amazonwebservices.com/connect/forumindex.jspa

Google is another http://code.google.com/appengine/ application engine with it
