HW kbd Failed to set (null) as ios keyboard focus

In my iOS application crash log, I found this expression:

HW kbd Failed to set (null) as keyboard focus ios

Does anyone know what it is and how to solve it?

I just came across this exception using the Xamarin app on the simulator. It started after I turned off the soft keyboard while debugging the application. Given the exception mentioning the keyboard, I think this caused it.

Removing the application from the emulator, cleaning and restoring fixed the problem for me.

Not sure if this bug is on Apple or Xamarin's side.

The only links I could find related to Xamarin were close, but the opposite is the application that crashes on the simulator but works on a real device . The resolution on this forum does not describe what might be the problem, but suggests that cleaning up the project and rebuilding it might solve it.

The specific message HW kbd Failed to set (null) as keyboard focus ios is related to the application crashing, but there is no additional information in pastebin to really help determine why it is crashing.

You can also consider adding logging statements to your code to see if you can isolate the problem.
