I would like to get a Facebook profile ID from a Facebook user user.
Basically, I want to display a photo of the user's father and say "how about buying X for dad."
Is this possible using the graph (or REST) API?
Edit: It looks like this should be a FQL query and cannot be executed directly with other APIs. I'm still trying to figure out how to do this, and am looking for the right JOIN format for information. I will send it if I know. Thank you for your interest in the question everyone. It was fun to read all sorts of comments coming. Clearly, a slightly more constructive criticism is in contrast to rampant fading. If you think that people will be deprived of civil rights, I would be interested to know the reasons. As a friendly reminder of the upcoming event, I see nothing wrong with this approach. I respect different wordings, if I don’t find my father, if they died. If I asked: “How can I write someone a thread that X is buying Y a Z for father’s day”, that would be one thing, but I thought it was a pretty trivial privacy issue. But then again, maybe some of you disagree ... Thanks for reading ...
