Debugging silverlight 3 in vs2008 after installing vs2010 \ silverlight 4

I installed vs2010 on my computer, now it seems that I can not debug \ launch silverlight 3 application in vs2008. The debug button (F5) is not available. And when an exception occurs, he says: "Debugging resource strings is not available."

It seems to me that I read something about this, but now, it seems, I can not find it. In addition, I can’t just use vs2010 and target.net 3.5 b / c of another development. I only work with vs2008.

Is this a known issue? Are there any workarounds.

thanks.

This is not the only thing confused when you try to use the "old" versions .. stuff .. on the new dev env. I recommend setting up a virtual machine where you put Visual Studio with all its companions (e.g. SL3).

I think this is a workaround - but on virtual machines there are other advantages, such as backing up all of this or taking it with you to a USB stick ...

The problem is that there are several versions of Silverlight, .NET, the Silverlight developer, and Visual Studio Tools, and only a few are compatible. Try loading different dates and see what works.

Do you have code written in SL version 2? I had the same problem when I uninstalled version SL2 and 3 and installed SL4. This was allowed when I installed SL4 and installed SL2 and SL3, and then installed SL4 again. I don’t know the reason, but it worked for me and for my friends.

as soon as you open the vs2008 project in vs 2010, it will ask you to convert, and if it was converted, it cannot be opened in version 2008

if these changes are not made

Why not try downloading VS2008, and then loading your instance of IE, and then in VS2008 attach the debugger to the IE process? Doesn't that work?
