Hudson - work stuck, how to kill her?

I have a job running Hudson that hasn’t progressed with “Starts with an anonymous user.” How can I stop him? I tried restarting the Hudson server, but it just resumed working at startup.

It cannot be killed using the normal cancel button.

Thanks.

Hudson was waiting for an SVN response - SVN was waiting for permission to use my id in the repository. As soon as it was, Hudson began working again.

I would suggest that in this case there would be an SVN process that I would need to kill for Hudson to respond again.

Check the build process so that it does not wait for interactive input. For example, if you run ssh and the server is not in the known hosts file, it may be waiting for you to authorize the fingerprint. Similarly, if you have not configured automatic key exchange, it may be waiting for you to enter a password.

I had a similar problem when work got stuck at an early stage. I did the following and got him to work. Not sure what exactly did the trick.

  • ssh to build the node to which the task is bound and its workspace cleared
  • sudo /etc/init.d/hudson restart to restart the service on the Hudson server.
  • re-enter source code credentials
  • start assembly work
