How can I fix this error in Fiddler: no connection can be made because the target machine actively refused it

For some reason, I cannot control my request / responses of an ASP.NET page to my localhost in IE 8.0.

I use fiddler and I changed its url like this - adding a dot before the semicolon -

http://localhost.►2749/JQuery/Chapter16-AJAX/PersonEditor.aspx

I get this error:

[Fiddler] Connection to the local host. failed. Exceptional text: the connection could not be completed because the target machine actively refused it: 1: 52749

thanks

OK I found how to get around this.

Go to the Fiddler options. In the "General" section, clear this check box:

'Enable IPv6 (if available)'

Then, as usual, add the URL that requests your files from your local host, placing a dot after the text "localhost".

It works!

Your best bet is to use http: //ipv4.fiddler: 52749 as your URL.
