When was ContentProvider really created?

Do I have a ContentProvider that is declared in the manifest when it is actually created? When does the application start, but before the start of the first action? When is the first request / update / insert performed? When?

Implement this to initialize your content provider at startup. This method is called for all registered content providers in the main thread of the application at application startup time. It should not perform lengthy operations, or the launch of the application will be delayed.
