Threads in general lisp?

Section 3.5 of the structure and interpretation of computer programs describes streams. Does Common Lisp have such streams built-in, or is there a good Common Lisp library that implements such streams?

[I refer to flows in all the generalities presented in SICP Section 3.5; not just your normal input / output streams.]
