When using apt-get, I see that some packages have the suffix "dev" after their names:
libreadline5 libreadline-dev zlib1g zlib1g-dev
What is it and should I install them?
You need to compile and link them, as they provide links for headers and libraries, while standard packages contain only run-time versions.
