Link a facebook application page to an existing business page

I have a facebook application page and a separate facebook business profile page.

A business page was created, but not by me, some time before the creation of the application and its page. Can I connect two pages or import content and friends from one to the other?

The older profile page has content; a set of friends and wall posts that I don't want to lose. It was created before I had the opportunity to customize the application page. Since the application was created recently, it does not have any content hosted on it.

I assumed that the application page ultimately contains some advertising information for my main site (non-canvas, just using fb to connect api, etc.). The idea is that when people subscribe to my site via facebook OAuth, I can use the api chart to post to the wall.

Wall racks work as expected, but naturally they direct users to the facebook app page, which has no content, friends, etc. I would rather be directed to the original business page where the party really takes place.

Now it seems that the two pages are completely separated; What do I need to do to direct users to a business page?

You cannot link these two pages, they have different goals: description of the topic (company / group independently) and description of the application.

What you can do to attract users to a business page is to insert a wall attachment, users will be focused on them and, therefore, less likely to be tempted to click on the application that sent the message. Image enhancement is also more powerful.

look at the documentation here: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/guides/attachments

use the href attribute to link to your business page.

hope this helps
