How to insert a latex dot without a new line

I am trying to add a point similar to β€’ for a point product, but it always ends like a marker point, creating a new line. I tried \cdot and \bullet . I think they consider him like a bullet because I do it on the list of items. Is there any way to do this as a point?

Try \cdot in math mode. This is a good way to specify multiplication: enter image description here

  \documentclass{article} \begin{document} Here is a product: $a \cdot b$. \end{document}

Note that the dollar symbol is a mathematical mode.

just had the same problem ...

The mathematical mode $...$ is not essential for this:

 \documentclass{minimal} \begin{document} \noindent Here an example with $\bullet$ math mode \newline And here one in \textbullet text only \newline Although you may want to give the last \textbullet \ more spacing \end{document}

giving:
