How to Read SMS from iPhone Inbox Programmatically

Having studied the documentation on iOS, I can send SMS using MFMessageComposer in my application, but I have not yet found a way to write an application that could programmatically process the contents of an incoming SMS message on the iPhone platform. The idea is for such an application to run in the background and read SMS from the Inbox folder and perform the action automatically.

This is not possible in the standard SDK.

Perhaps you can do this with a jailbroken phone?
