Disable the HTML TextField clause.

Question

Okay, so what do you know when you type in a text field like “test” and then go back and it will offer “test” when you type “t”? How to disable a text input field from doign that has a popup sentence?

If at all, maybe thanks.

Use autocomplete = "off" as on the Google homepage

This is a feature of the browser, not your HTML. If you want your browser to stop doing this, turn off Auto Suggest or AutoComplete, or whatever function is invoked in your particular browser.

I think the browser function and the way to disable it will vary. This is not what I think you could do it in code.

I just checked IE8 and you can go to “Tools” - “Internet Options” → “Content”, click the “Settings” button in “AutoFill” and then turn off the “Forms” window.
