Does anyone know how to configure eclipse to NOT copy font color / background when doing CTRL-C?

Not that I ever cut and pasted code. I'm really asking about this for a friend :)

I do not know if it can be installed in Eclipse - I suspect not (I looked and did not find it). What works for me is to paste into an editor that does not accept colors such as Notepad, and then copy and paste into the destination. A bit tedious (but it works!), I know, so I will watch it to see if anyone has a better solution .;)

There are many utilities that remove clipboard text formatting. Personally, I'm on a Mac, and I'm using Keyboard Maestro , which can do this by the way. A search on the Internet gives a lot of results, for example this one , which is free.

I prefer β€œplain text paste” in many applications, regardless of source. Some programs have the option "Paste and match style". If you can customize shortcuts in the program, I usually switch Ctrl-V to "Paste and Match Style" instead of "Paste" and assign Shift + Ctrl + V to "Paste".
